Got off work early Friday and thought, it's supposed to be pretty good weather this weekend so it's time to cut hay. Started cutting about a 10 acre patch and didn't quite get it all cut. Still a couple of acres to be cut. Raked yesterday (Sunday) afternoon and started baling right after. This was the first time this spot was cut this year. I knew there was alot of grass out there since I couldn't see my swath bar on the mower very much while mowing but I didn't think there was as much as it turned out. After a couple of stops from being dumb with the baler, I ended up with almost 30 5'x5' bales when I finished about 6 yesterday evening. I couldn't go very far without stopping to tie a bale.
Good weekend! Looks like the cows will be happy this winter.
