Late last week I posted about an auction that had a bent & rusty NH S 68. I had decided to maybe go $ 250 and was amazed that it brought $ 640. There were bales made the night before - looked like crap- so I guess that it was a proven performer so the bidders went nuts. A IHC 990 mower conditioner in good shape with little wear brought $ 630. 1066 with IHC cab sounded good all gears and TA worked - brought $4700. Auctions are generally intertaining! My nickel Dick Davis

Dick I was also at that auction. You are correct baler was near junk. The IH moco was nice wish I would have bought it now I stopped at $500.00 it was sure worth the price the 1066 also. If your looking for a baler I suggest a JD 24 I love mine.

NH 68, Not just bent and rusty, but had a broken needle, one knoter disambled, missing part of the PTO, and who knows how old hay with grass/weeds growing in it. It hadn't baled for many a year. I figured best case $50 for the good needle and maybe some knoter parts (pretty wore). That sucker went $825. EIGHT HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE bucks. Took a second look to see where the gold on it was I missed and make sure the stuff growing on it wasn't wacky weed. Go figure???

Man I must be lucky, I found one that had been shedded it whole life. I did have to put a new fuel pump on and it run great. I only paid $350. and didn't even have to use a gun. I know where a second junker may I better buy it And ship it up there. My mistake mine is a 69
