Any one have a better place to look for a mower conditioner and baler. I have posted ads here in the classifides, looked at ebay and in lots of news papers classifides. I have been unable to find any closer than 300 miles from me. I am looking for some thing in northern wisconsin or upper michigan. tx

Good mower conditioners are readily available around here as many are switching to rotary disc conditioners(our weather is such that you often have to cut wet right after a weather front goes through) Around here is western Pa & mo-co's are hard to load. Some dealer might bring you a trailer load.

Don't know if you know about the weekly magazine "Wisconsin State Farmer". They have a pretty good classified section every week. The classifieds are also online so you can look at them on your 'puter. The website is: www.wisfarmer.com
I see a lot of northern wisconsin stuff in that magazine.

I have tried some of the searches such as iron search and equipment locater. Closest in my price range are 250-300 miles away. None in local papers, tried riding aroung looking, no luck yet. No auctions lately closer than that either.

Not a bad idea. Its what I did. I am in eastern WI and there are many old barns with balers sitting in them because the farmer uses big squares or another method. A lot of times they are willing to almost give them away. It may be the same case in northern WI too.

John; I have both for sale. I have a JD1460 disc mowconditioner and a IH 37 square baler. The mower is my unit and I am just going larger,the baler is another fellows that has asked me to move it for him,also have a JD 14t for sale also. Both balers worked fine when last used. Rick. John; Dont know if you have considered auctions, they are fun and frustrating. I am and have been in the market for hay equipment also; Seems like if an individual wants to sell they want and expect the gold standard, if you are selling the buyer expects to buy for less than peanuts. Sometimes at auctions you can get a bargan, just know you may have to do a little fix up.
