Was having knotter problems.

I just got an old 520 oliver baler that I put to use baling about an half acre of hay. It was a good starting plot. On my first pass through the field I baled 43 bales of which only about 23 had two strings on them. That was frustrating. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. After pulling the bales off the field I reraked the field. (This was the first time for running a rake and a baler for me) After examining the baler and the knotter I found the twine coming to the knotter had somehow gotten twisted around the other strand to went to the first knotter. When i got the two strands separated the twine would pull with the proper force and both knotters were working correctly. So lesson has been learned. I still am not sure how the strands got twisted around each other.
It sure was a good feeling to look back and see those bales properly tied. I still have much to learn about knotters and how they work. My hat goes off to whoever designed that in the first place.
