Does anyone know of DIY built harvester for potato and garlic? I'm thinking of one row, 3 point hitch mount.

I use a middlebuster that I bought from TSC for $100 - economical enough. Like ShepFL, it's a pain in the lower back once they're dug - wheelbarrow is a little easier than 5 gallon buckets.

Nope. Been looking myself. I currently used a mounted cultivator sweep in the row to open it up. From there it is me and 5 gallon buckets. Kind of a pain when they really produce.

I use an old horse-drawn potato plow I got at auction for less than $10.

I hitch it to my tractor drawbar with a light chain. Wife drives tractor in 1st, I run the plow as if it were hitched to a horse...works great. I harvest a 300' row in about two minutes. Could probably adapt to the 3 point for one-person use, but I haven't had time.
