Queen Anne Lace

My second cutting last season I noticed alot of Queen Annes Lace. I was hoping that it was because we had lot of rain. I cut this year the second week of June. I checked the field last week and the QAL is coming up already. Do I Lift the mower and cut the stems before they flower or just mow the field low again? How do i get rid of them? thanks in advance

When we were first married, my wife used to call wild carrott Queen Anne's Lace also. After finding out that the only real way to get rid of QAL was to pull it up by the roots, she now calls them #**%))$$##@ wild carrott. As my grandfather used to say, you can pull it up by the roots, burn it and the smoke will grow !!!

Cut them down right as they are flowering. I've done this for the past couple years in an older pasture, and there are very few QAL left.

They actually aren't a terrible plant to have: their deep root systems will labor mightily to break up clayey/rocky soil. But cut them before they go to seed.
