What is an used 7.5 foot Alamo flail mower worth? It seems to be in good mechanical condition with a couple of small holes rusted through the guarding where water collected.

I just picked up a 7' Ford flail mower for $500 in very good condition. Origonally used by a local school, sold it when they went to zero turn mowers.

Hey Don,
Not sure what they are worth, but I paid around 1K for an 88" used by a township. Am told that I got a 'real' good deal. The township had traded a 74" in that was worn out, but dropped off an 88" that had very little wrong with it when they picked up their new one. Dealer didn't realize it untill we loaded it into the back of the truck. I could believe how long a 74' mower was :-) . We measured and it was 88 not 74 yahoo, what I wanted anyway.
Replaced 1 bearing and bolts in 3pt brackets to tighten up. Have mowed about 225 acres with no problems.
