Concerning the handle on the baler that regulates the kicker belts - mine was broken when I bought it. Now I want to put it back to together. What is used to hook the rubber hose to the handle? I tried a 5/16 bolt welded inside the handle and can't get the hose clamp tight enough. Any suggestions?

TIA

On our 273 when we bought it the hose was very stiff and wouldn't bend and the bracket that holds it was bent and digging into the hose when we put the new one on. After a new hose and straightening of the bracket it works like a charm. Steve if you read this is the knurled piece of shaft in front of the hose still available? Our's is wore down and I would like to replace it even though I allready recut the knurl's on it. Have a good one.

I'm sorry, but New Holland has discontinued that knurlized pipe part. Steve

The end of the original handle was 3/8", but more importantly, the end was rough. Knurlizing is the proper term for the rough surface. That will help the hose clamp fast. Do you also have the reinforcing steel balls inside the rubber hose? Steve
