Let me see if I understand this right. The only set of forks you should adjust are the middle set, correct? I have sharpened and set the knife at 1/32", adjusted the forks to a fare-thee-well and I'm still getting only fair to middlin'looking bales. Couldn't really say good, especially in mixed grass. Timothy are OK. If you were to stand one up, it looks like the top right corner was clipped off. Ordered the hay stop assembly. Hope that does the trick.

Where are you located? If you are close to East Texas bring it to me and I can fix the feeder and guarantee you that it will make good square bales every time. Hope that I can be of help.

Thanks for the offer. I'm in Maryland, so it's a bit of a hike towing a baler!

How many sets of teeth do you have? I had 2 when I first got my baler and was making bales that would stack around poles most of the time. I added 2 more sets so now I have 4 sets and also had to replace and added more bale wedges also. One of mine was flat and part of it was pulling the left side of the bale in the chamber. Hope this helps Jeff

I've got three sets; one steel set all the way to the left side as you face the baler, and two aluminum sets that are pretty new. All the wedges are in place, the dogs and springs are in good shape as well. The set of tines closest to the plunger are set very near the grease zerk on the tine bar. Haven't touched them. Don't know if that's where they are supposed to be or not. Adding more tines makes sense. Might have to try that!

One thing more the windrow also has a lot to do with the shape of the bales. I try and keep the windrow as large as the baler can handle and get the best bales that way. My first forks are 3" from the greese fitting but you have to play with them to get them right for your hay and baler. Hope this helps Jeff
