I found an old Oliver 520 baler that is for sale.
It runs and put out 3000 bales last year. A parts baler comes with it. Can parts still be purchased form AGCO for this? Has anyone had any good or bad experiences for this old baler?
I only have about 4 to 5 acres of hay to bale with this so I am just going to be taking it easy. Tried to get another farmer in the area to bale for me, but to no avail.

I had a 630 baler. never missed a beat, tied great. Can't say the same for the thrower, that why I got rid of it. You might have some trouble finding pick-up teeth for it

You'd have to check with an AGCO dealer for specific parts availability. The knotter parts and needles may be common to some Hesston small square balers from the mid-late '70s, before the centerline balers came out. What parts are still on the parts baler? If you've only got a few acres of hay to do, and it reliably baled 3000 bales last year, and it's cheap ($500 or less), take a chance on it. You could always find another parts baler somewhere if you needed it.
