Tonight I broke the cutter bar on my IH 1300 sickle bar mower. Any ideas on where to find one besides an IH dealer? Any idea of costs? May cost more than the mower is worth? Thanks for any ideas.

i have 2 #100 mowers for a fast hitch ive looked at a #1300 mower and they look identical the problem i have is one the bar broke and the other looks like the previous owner hooked something hard and the bar twists down hill enough that half way down the bar the guards dig right into the ground
so i priced one through local case ih dealer $489 for just the bar so im still tring to find a good used one so right now i have the old faithfull #27 behind the H

Have you tried or know someone else that has tried to weld the cutter bar. I priced one also and the 489.00 is more than I paid for the whole mower. I know I can buy another used one for less money than that but I would like to fix this one if possible. Thanks
