Glad to see someone's having fun. The forecast down here (SW Iowa) shows a chance of rain every other day, and highs in the upper 60's Sat. I work 24 hr. shifts for the Omaha Fire Dept. and work for a local manufacturer on my off days, don't know if I'm ever going to get anything done. Maybe I should fix the lights on my new (to me)tractor, I could work a little later that way. Any way, good to see your getting work done, hope the weather keeps cooperating.

Kelly looks like everything is in tune. Thats because you do all the preventive maintainace required. Looks like your cutting grass hay? I notice your cutting with the swath gate up laying it in a nice windrow. I thought if you have the swath gate down spreading it thin and wide it would in crease the drying time. Then come rake it the next day into a windrow. That's the approach I took and it dryed out good. I'm new to the hay making thing my self. I'm trying to learn as I go. Good look baling. Alwas nice to see farmall's in action.

Just a thought on your 469, you have the deflector pulled all the way up. It is adjusted by the two arms sticking up in the back. If you lower that deflector it will widen out the swath and help your drying time. You are going to rake it up anyway so might as well spread it out as much as possible to let it dry. I run my deflector only 1 notch up, the bars only stick up about 2 inchs above the machine.

Just something you might want to play with a little. Pictures look good though.

We are done with our first cutting hay here and will do second cutting alfala (sp) probably in a week or so. Trying to get the combine in the field to run barly right now, and square bale a little straw.

Looks like you had some fun. Cuts a nice swath.
I mowed five acres today with my 8N and a Dearborn cycle bar that I just got running. Need some adjusting but worked fine cutting wild oat and pasture grass mix. All realy dry as normal for central California this time of year. Sure would like to havce some of your rain.Thanks for the nice pictures.
