Have you thought about sending out a dove?
We have been having tooooo o much rain in Michigan too. First time I ever planted oats with grass seed and the oats never came up. The rains packed the soil so tight that the oats never made the light of day. Got a good catch of clover with a dandy bunch of weeds.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but ole Noah sent out a dove to see if there was any dry land. We in Michigan may be returning to the original swamp in the near future.
But, we know God will provide.

PLEASE send some of it to western Nebraska, Oklahoma, Kansas and eastern Colorado!!!!

It is so dry in this region that when a raindrop fell and hit my hired man on the forehead it knocked him out.

It took 3 buckets of dry dusty soil to bring him to his senses!

AT our place south of Sioux Falls, we got just a little over an inch. A mile east of me got 2 inches. A little drizzle in Sioux Falls, 8 inches in two hours. I came into town just as it was letting up, what a mess. All low spots were flooded, basements full, cars up halfway on the doors, streets closed.

It rains here in South Western Pa. just about every day. It use to be droughts up to last year. Starting last year, We have been getting too much rain in May and June for two years now. The growing season use to be from April to September in my area. Now due to late frosts and 40 degree temperatures up to end of May and much colder temps in September now a days, the actual growing season seems to be only from early June to late August. The weather patterns have definitely changed for some reason in my area.

Thanks, Ray in Pa.

12 Inches in 6 days in Lafayette, In. Lost some alfalfa I planted back in May. I have a new house and half my grass seed washed away as well... This rain is so frustrating.....

you know its going to be just like last year. Toomuch rain early and after the 1st cutting is toast. You wont get rain until Sept again. Stunting the 2nd cutting and not getting any 3rd at all.

Well, it has rained again today. I wonder what ever happened to the normal old fashion rain shower that use to occur once a week like the way it use to be back in the 1970's. Now when it rains, it pours with marble size rain drops and causes big flash flooding. The Rye that I cut for straw is still on the ground at day 12 and sure is not a nice looking yellow color any more. Had to Tedder to keep from losing it in growing weeds when sun was out this morning. Now if only there was a way I could haul and sell some of this water to the fellows out west that really need it.

Thanks, Ray in Pa.
