Rob: Sorry for not getting back sooner. I have the three hay dogs on top and two on the bottom. I have only broke one spring on the top center since having the baler. I usually run one or two extra sets of hay wedges depending on how fine the hay is. One other item I forgot to add in last weeks post is that I also run the plunger face extension kit from NH. This consits of 4 rectangular pieces of metal which bolt on to the face of the plunger. This kit pushes the hay further into the bale chamber and for me holds the hay better durning the tieing process, along with the hay wedges give better bale shape formation. Even with these additions you have to adjust the feeder forks to get the best bale shape - maybe I just got real lucky with mine!!! Good luck. E-mail if you need any futher information.

Thanks for the info. I put another set of wedges in it, and I might check on those plunger extensions. It's been raining so much here I havn't got to use it since the modifications.
