After waiting for two weeks to cut hay in my last field, and seeing a 40-70% chance of rain in the forcast every day (and not getting a drop of rain the whole time!) my lady said that she was going to have to water the flower beds. So I figured I'd do my part and told her, "Well, there only a 30% chance of rain today. I'll go ahead and start cutting. Don't worry about your flowers". Sure enough, about a quarter of the way through the field, it started raining. Rained just enough to soak everything. So if you're in West-central AR and got rained on yesterday, it's my fault. Sorry 'bout that.

Well, you must be a real influential kind of person, Ron, because it just rained up here in northern Ohio too. It's probably a good thing, as I was getting a bit worried - last week we only had about 1/2 an inch of rain, and it was getting so I was almost able to walk around outside without sinking in up to my ankles. I'm not going out to check the rain gauge (my scuba tanks are empty and the compressor's out in the shed) but I'd bet we got at least half an inch, maybe an inch, in about two hours. That should make my neighbor with the new boat happy. Big one, too - says he's gonna carry animals in it. Hah-hah!! That'll be the day...

Yea Ron,
Got a little hay on the ground here in north central texas too, luckily not but about 5 acres for the neighbor down the road. Got alot lined up too do if the rain gives us a chance, be nice if we could spread it out over the hot times of the year when we really need it, we are soaked here right now!!!!! I think I saw some animals pairing up again too!!!!

If I screwed up at my job as often as they do on the weather, I would have been unemployed a long time ago. It is just like CEO's, they are hired because they are "supposedly' brilliant at what they do. Most of them are like weather forcasters. They are wrong 70% of the time and
over paid. And when all is said and done neither one is ever held accountable.

On the other hand, the weatherman forecast 5 days of GREAT WEATHER here in MD last week. A bunch of guys, including myself, went hog wild cutting, since this spring's been so wet. Not 24 hours later, we had 3 days of rain. Lots of brown hay here now.

Did you do any cutting in southern MN? Had 3" in a large area, up to 9" east of me. Lots of flooding.

My summer job is mowing roads in eastern OK, I couldn't even find a mud hole to make tracks in, and there was lots of dead grass already. This rain helps my job security.Hah Hah
