Pack the corners with hay, the middle will take care of its self.

First of all with all round balers the bigger the windrow the better the bale. If you have small windrows then you will have to weave more often. Get you a V'Rake and set it the width of your baler and bale at 4-6 miles an hour. Make sure that you run you tractor at the proper RPM to generate 540 RPM on the PTO if not this alone could be the reason you are not making good bales.

HAVE A 1000 RPM BALER AND THE MANUAL SAYS TP RUN AT 75% OF RPM. THREE OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME BALER AND HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS BALER HAS BALED ONLY 385 BALES AND WE ARE LOOKING FOR A NEW BALER NOW BECAUSE CLIENTS SWEAR THIS YEARS BALES ARE LAST YEARS. VERMEER CANNOT SEEM TO HELP.

Mr. Stone, Without seeing the baler I'm afraid that I can't help you much more. How are you raking your hay? Are you weaving to make your bales? Make sure your air and hydrualic pressures are ajusted correctly.
