Where buy ledger plates for sickle bar mower guard

Does anybody know where new ledger plates can be found anymore? I replaced hundreds of them years ago but can't find them in the farm supply stores anymore. Everyone says just put on new guards, but it seems like the most expensive way to go. Surely they can be bought somewhere.

A lot of people believe they are getting a bargain when they purchase from one of those fleet stores. The fact is you are paying money for a cheaper product, its most likely under sized and made foreign. I won't say that even if you purchase from CNH JD or whomever else of the large manufacturers that they are not made foreign also, but they are made to specification and will match what is OEM on mower. The product will last longer with less stress on you and your pockets. GWH

Wayne,

I replaced the ledger plates on my Ford 501 sickle bar mower earlier this Spring. I got them at the New Holland dealer. They weren't terribly expensive and they were a whole lot less expensive than buying the entire stone guard / ledger plate assemblies that Tractor Supply Company had.

I think that you should be able to locate them at the corresponding dealer.
