Ford model 532 baler

I have been wanting to get into hay and have found a ford 532 baler CHEAP. It has been sitting out in the KY weather for a few years but apparently worked fine when it was parked. Is this worth my effort? Is this a good baler? What HP rating does a tractor need to run this? All I have right now is a '70 JD4020 and a '79 JD 2640. I've been thinking about getting a smaller one. If anyone can give me any info at all about this baler, it would be appreciated?

I have a 530 an a 532 balers. I broke a knotter fram on my 532 so if you know where I can get one give me a call 319-352-2633. Both balers work great. Just don't push it. When it gets tuff quite or you might break yours.Your 4020 is plenty. I run mine with a ford 5000 60hp.

Just bought a 532 baler about a week ago. Sorry I cannot give you any reference on it, but your tractors should be fine running it. I plan on pulling mine with a Farmall C (pulled a lot heavier baler before with it so it should be no big deal). The 532 I bought has been shedded at least most of it's life, and seems good and tight with little wear.

I have a 530 and my wife's cousin has a 532 both are good balers use sisal twine not plastic parts are available from ford/new holland dealer a couple of hints Keep the baler covered use a canvas for over night in the field and in a shed for winter

Get a set of manuals from Foord.NH dealer

Keep clean and greased
GOOD LUCK
