Just bough a pristine JD baler, but it had no covers. Anyone know of a farm equipment junk yard in Texas (hopefully DFW area) or a on line place.

Thanks

I don't know the phone numbers off hand, try Gap Tractor Salvage over in Cranfills Gap. Marc Johnson has been doing business for many years and has a good reputation for reliable parts. You may also want to try B&M Tractor in Taylor Texas. I've never dealt with them, but I knew a few people that claim they have the best selection of John Deere parts. There is also a parts yard not far from the TX and LA border, but not sure of the name of it. I think it's Alexander Tractor Parts. Hope this is able to help you out a little.

Jim

Alexander is/was around Sulphur Springs dealing in blue only. More of a reconditioned house as he has a complete machine shop with the knowledge to fix some mfgr defects on the old iron. But he does have some new replacement parts as he sells reconditioned tractors in addition to parts.

Richard, if you don't have any luck down that way you can try Hilltop Tractor Salvage in Lamar, Missouri. They will ship to you and they are honest & reasonable. They have hundreds of balers of all types in salvage. Good luck...

Richard, Try the equipment yard there on I-35 south, @ Abbot TX. Just about 8 miles or so S. of Hillsboro.
They sell used equipment and such, There all the time, and they have an auction on the first Sat. of the month. Hope this helps!
Later,
John A.

I bought my grain truck there. A 1973 Ford Cabover. No major repairs required.
