rebuilding the cutter bar..with new gaurds, hold downs, wear plates etc.. Starting form the ground up as long as the distance between holes are ok..will any oem parts work ok???

ric...I also have a NI 30B - I think - mower. Somebody in the past cut the tow structure off and replaced with 3-pt, and did a bad job. But with a couple of support chains, it's working to a degree. I am needing to make some adjustments, then will also re-do the 3-pt mount in time, and rebuild the bar lift mecahnism, which seems to have been partly dismantled.

In answer to your question, after calling around, I was pointed to the local Ford-New Holland dealer. I took one of the original guards and sections with me and he had replacements that worked fine. They weren't, of course, NI, but worked. If you need model numbers, let me know by return post and I'll get out there tonight when I get home and take a look and get back to you.

Hi Chuck and thanks for your answer to my question.

I was also thinking I could prehaps put a newer guard on ..one of the doubles instead of single. I have now checked with TSC and they have a double that is very close in looks to the singles that where on on it.. So guess I'll give it a try..
