Hesston 5540 baler question

I finally got the mower and rake fixed.
Now for the baler I just purchased (Hesston 5540).
I was assured everything was working last year.

The twin tube electric twine wrapper motor chatters and doesn't extend the tubes. I guess the clutch is slipping.
I have an operators manual but not a service manual.
I removed the motor and drive tube assemble and brought home from the farm.
Are there any suggestions on how to disassembe and check out?

I have a 5580...Great baler..Check your twine tube pivot bolts, mine are bad about collecting dust and moisture causing them to stiffen up better than viagra...By the way my baler is for sale...Works great just bought a newer one

I now have the shaft running in and out and the worm drive gear has plenty of grease.

I still think the clutch is slipping too easily.
When I put everything back together on the baler I'm afraid it will just chatter.

Is there a way to tighten the clutch?

I BUILT AN ELECTRIC TIE ON MY BAILER USING A 99.OO WINCH ,SURE IS A LOT LESS MONEY THAN THE DEALERS

Hi Bud

I would like to get info on the winch you modified to make the tie arms work as mine is wore out and I think the 700.00 dollar cost for the tie motor is crazy.
