I have a IH 241. Same baler just older and mine does not have the 2 spring set up the 2400 has.
They make good bales with a little practice. Not near the machine you get from a newer model, But for the price you get great bang for the buck.
I paid $300 for my 241 and hope to get a year or two out of it.
You can run these with little HP. 30 HP you can bale.
Price? depends on shape its in. Maybe I would give up to $1000 maybe $1500 if in great shape. No one is really buying these so maybe $500. I would start there. If he wants more. Go find a Vermier 605 or some thing like that.
