The indicator marks (2) on the output shaft of the main gear box correspond to what on the splined crank attaching to the plunger? When I took this thing apart I accurately located (positioned) all parts but if there is another way I'd like to know it also and be able to double check. Thanks in advance for any assistance..... ..

Bob, forgive me but I do not understand what you want to know. Do I understand you removed the heavy cast arm from the main gearbox that drived the plunger? Help me so I can help you. Steve

Steve, the answer is yes. The input shaft broke right behind the fly wheel and I removed the gear box and am installing another one from a 276. Assuming for the timing to be right the re-install should be in the identical position I carefully marked the outboard sproket position and the cast plunger arm locations prior to removal, but was unaware of the indicator marks on the mating shaft for the plunger crank arm until I got the box out. It appears to me me that the indicator marks probably provide an easier and more accurate method. Thanks for you assistance.
