Take 2.5 times the analysis numbers to achieve the actual pounds of product applied.

ex... if you are having 250# of 9-23-17 (just some numbers for example) that would be 22-57-42 of actual applied.

28% weighs 10.7#/gal, not sure on the weight of 32% but I would use 11#/gal as a guideline for "rough" figuring. Fertilizer isn't critical like herbicides are.

To achieve 22# of N with 32-0-0, take 22 divided by 32 which equals 69# of 32% or approxiamately 6.25 gallons.

If you have an "in house" blend of liquid made up to replace dry. Be careful on the K product. Most contain clay/salt particles that WILL NOT pass through an average farm sprayer.

I never used liquid yet, but you need to tell us what fert you are using, I believe there are different products.

Then, if you want 250 lbs per acre actual N (wow that sounds like a lot!), or do you mean you used 250lbs of 32, or about 80lbs of N per acre?

I believe you might need bigger tips on the sprayer, but as I say I'm not experienced. Seems that would be a lot of liquid, they might do split applications of liquid, 1/4 or 1/3 after each cutting?
