Just curious what year a NH 55 rake would have been made. Serial number is in the 24000 range. Thanks.

I am not sure about your rake and have no idea of SN break downs. Mine is in the 35XXX area. Here is the research summary I did ages ago when I posted the picture of mine in the implement photos here.....

Introduced in 1954 and manufactured through the middle of 1958, the 55 was the first of the famous 'Rolabar Rakes' by NH. Height 4'3' Width 10' Length 9'11' Raking Width 8' Transport Speed up to 20 mph Wheel tread width 5' 5 1/4' Operating speed 2-8 mph Weight with tires 870. These specs are according to Form No. 1355-25M 1-55-LVO. There is two color schemes, earlier model 55's were all red except the wheels and the later model 55's with the basket supports yellow as well. Mine is a later style. This rake was replaced by the Super 55 which was manufactured for 1 year and then replaced with the offset axle model 56.
