I bought a used hay tedder about 2 years ago, I ripped out gear box last week and now I can not find parts, it is a unifarm cw300 if anyone has heard of this I would really appreciate hearing from you and finding out where I may be able to find parts for this.

Look for a plate to see who actually made the tedder, My NI has a small decal that says mfg by tonutti for NI.

Most tedders are pretty much built to be disposable. I broke a spinner shaft last year and by the time I replaced it I had 20% of new cost in it. Very much damage just junk and replace.

I guess that is alright, but if I can get a machine going for twenty dollars instead of one hundred I have to take the twenty dollar route. I only do about eighty to one hundred acres a year so am not big time but do manage to make money with my hay and cattle

Good used 2 rotor tedders go for $400-600

I agree with you, that was my point exactly. My dad bought a new UFT last year for $1100, to replace the gearbox is $950 ( a guy that very morning he bought his ordered one). No point in putting a $900 gear box on any 2 basket tedder regardless of if you paid $100 or $1100.
