OK. I got stupid. Again. I bought this mower from a guy across the section. The only #'s I can find on it are 15404-R2 IH. Someone has aborted this thing really bad. I got 4 extra bars with good blades with it and the pitman is in good shape. I am going to do some cutt'n and wielding to make it work on my 1750 Oliver. I was just wondering what this thing was origonally. Trailor type or drawbar or what? I got a use for it where I can not get with the brushhog or I would have let it set in the weeds. Thanks.

Butcher, that is a 27V that you have hanging there. Is that a hand lift lever bent down or a hose for a cyclinder to lift the cutter bar? Altho the 27V didn't come with a cyclinder mounted on the frame,I've seen two with identical add-on brackets.

that mower looks like a IH 31 mower, I have one, mine works real good. If I remember right, on the 25 and 27 mowers, the triangular frame is offset while the 31 angles straight back. if you decide you don't want/ need it, i'd be intersted in taking it off your hans, where bout you located?

I am 12 miles N.E. of Waterloo. I been out in the shed tonight trying to figure out what someone has done to this mower. And also what I am doing with it. Somebody has made some really poor modifications to it. All I need to do right now to make it work is lengthen the pto shaft. I'll look around for some other numbers on it towmorrow.

You have a semi-mount mower. A trailer type mower would have two wheels and a hitch that attaches to your drawbar with a single pin. A mounted mower would attach either to a tph or the tractor frame itself. The front part of your mower likely attaches to a tractor drawbar (parallel to your tractor rear axle) with at least two bolts, and the single wheel behind just pivots as you make your turns.

Don't know the model of that mower but I've got two that I use. They are McCormick's and I like them. Would like to know the model number. People call them 25, 27 or 27 V's but it is a newer Model than those. My nickel Dick Davis
