My New Holland 451 sickle-bar mower needs a new upper link and I am wondering if I can just use any standard catagory 1 upper link to replace it. The reason I am confused it that the one that came with the mower looks somewhat unconventional and the local New Holland dealer wasn't too sure himself! Thanks

Ask Clem three messages below this one, he seemed to work out the same thing on his own.

I'm familiar with the 501 series where the upper arm is not conventional & has a big spring built into it 1/2 way up, but not sure if the 450 types are that way as well.
