Thanks for the info below. I keep hearing great stuff about the Sidewinder, however I am also hearing that it is heavier and a harder pull than other cutters of the same size.
The model in question is 5 1/2' and my tractor is a Ford 641 (~32hp). Do you think they would be OK together?

I have an old (it was given to me, so I have no idea how old it really is) Sidewinder mower (6') that I pull behind my even older 1945 John Deere "A". I'd guess the tractor horsepower to be about the same as yours, maybe a bit more, but the combination works well for me. The mower is built h*** for stout, and isn't a hard pull at all.
