I've broken the main gear box input shaft on my baler right behind the flywheel and in front of the bearing going into the gearbox housing. I have access to a parts baler that has a good gear box but have been unable to look at it closely.

Does anyone have experience with these and know if the gear boxes are identical as they appear to be? Thanks in advance..... ..

315 complete gearbox common with 276 & 311.
315 gearset common with 276.311,316,565,570,575.
320 complete gearbox common with 278 only.
320 gearset common with 278 only. The plunger crank arm and flywheel bushing on 315 and 320 balers are the same part numbers. If the box will bolt in, it will probably work fine at a different plunger speed. I wouldn't put a fast box in a 315, but would try a 315 box in a 320 if a cheap fix was more important than capacity.
