...your repairs on the 1207 comming? I pulled out the 1209 and dusted it off. The repair to my bracket seems to be holding up well. No signs of cracking. Greased it up and spun it over. I still need to get a few sections and spare bolts so the kinfe will be ready. But basicly waiting for a weather window to make first cut on the alfalfa. Grass hay is still a good week or two away.

I am putting a acid sprayer on one of the balers to reduce drying requirements & improve the quaility a bit. Have you ever done this? I have all the parts (manual control not auto) and just not sure where to point the nozzles. I suspect that right where the hay is fed into the plunger is the right place.

Yeah I got the repairs done and was actually surprised at how little I damaged given what I did to it. I beefed those brackets up a bit and will be keeping an eye on that section regularly. I found another weak section with mine. The tongue broke, (my fault I hung the end of the MoCo on a ditch lip) right where the hole is cut for the hydraulic line to go into it. Looking at the break it has been cracked for a while and I finished off the last little piece of metal holding. Might want to check there. I have grass hay down all over and need to get more down today if I can get rolling. I have one field that I will bale tonight and more I hope on Saturday. The alfalfa will be in the next week or so. Busy time for Hay right now.

As for the spray I have always seen it done over the pickup. Hay is more spread out and you would get more coverage there but I have never used this kind of setup. KYHayman would probably have an enlightened view on this.

Good luck on cutting....
