THIS IS THE TYPE JD SICKLE BAR MOWER THAT HOOKS UP TO A SPECIAL BRACKET THAT BOLTS UP TO THE DRAW BAR. WHY COULDN'T I MAKE A ADAPTER FOR THIS MOWER TO ADAPT IT TO 3 POINT HOOK UP USING SOMETHING LIKE A QUICK HOOK UP FOR THREE POINT AND USE IT ON MY 9N TO MOW PASTURES AND LIGHT MOWING CHORES.I'VE INHERITED TWO OF THESE AND DON'T WANT TO ALTER THEM MUCH OR TRADE'M THEY WERE GRANDPA'S

From your post I'm not sure if you want to make the mower totally 3 point, or if you want to mount it solid and use 3 point to lift the bar. On the smaller JDs there was a bracket that mounted to drawbar and drawbar support for the quick tatch mower brackets to hook to. You can easily fabricate a cable lift setup to lift the bar. The parts book shows this mount along with others. I'm sure the mounting bracket is not available from Deere but would not be hard to fabricate especially if you can gind some quick tatch brackets. The idea suggested in the other post will work to hook up the mower front but you will have no way to lift the bar. The front mount has to be solid or when you try to lift the bar the whole thing comes up. I have one of these and also a quick tatch #5 and they are good mowers.

just run a roundbar from one side to the other proper sized for the mower and turn each end down to 3/4" for to three point should work fine
