We have a customer that baled 277 bales in 12 hours with a 605J and he stopped to eat and refuel. If those bales are 6'x5', they all will weigh a ton or better. Did you start with less than 100 psi in the airbags? To this day there still is not a baler from any MFG, that will take hay faster than a Vermeer 605 Super J.

If those are 5x6's that's pretty sporting yield.

That's still a good yield. Sounds like you are doubling up with rye in the winter and coastal in summer. Good idea but takes lots of feed (fert.) right!

Have a customer who loves Bahia for horses. I don't sell him any but he buys it.

Funny I had cows and had to sell for some quick cash. Came back in deciding on doing hay (since my pasture was now in great condition and my fences were 25 yrs old). Started making some money (can you believe that!!!). Neighbor talked me into sharing his lease (adding cows). Broke again. So it goes.
