I have a John Deere Model 127 Rotary mower. Is it workable with my JD B? Does the PTO shaft spin fast enough for this mower? Doesn't really seem to cut worth a darn but the blades are very dull. Can anyone tell me any pros or cons with this mower or give me an idea when it was made? It is serial number 001. Does that mean it was the first one ever made? Where can I buy one of those "override clutches" a fellow says I need? Thanks for any help/advise/comments.

P.S. Mine is a two wheel pull type not the 3 point with one wheel on the back.

Series 001 means it was in the first year, first batch. I think aftermarket blades are available, maybe from www.shoupparts.com. Other parts most likely are available from Deere. Your B should have 540 PTO, and an ORC isn't a bad idea.
