Haybine Gearboxes - 469 = 479?????

Okay folks, I need one quck question answered. Is the gearbox on the 479 haybine interchangable with the gearbox on the 469? I am talking about the gearbox not hte wobble box.

Jim,
I can't answer your question but is this the first time you've had gearbox trouble with a haybine. I've got neighbors who have them and they stay working on those gearboxes. If it was only one of them, I would guess he's not putting it back together right but two of them... having the same trouble? There must be some trick to it. I personally haven't worked on one.

I lost the bearing on the input shaft, then the gear ate the cast iron wall of the gearbox. Now the gear box is in two pieces.
