a few years ago there was a guy selling two wheeled trailers with a round cage that hooked to the bailer with a chute when the cage was full you just backed it into the barn triped the release and pulled out i thought that with two of these it would be cheap and labor saving never used one though they looked like a double hay ring split in half you could probably make one cheap

I got the video and it's a great concept, the handling ease of large square bales with the premium price of small bales. Some of the large straw growers in my area use them. They make large stacks right in the field and tarp them or load trailers and haul them to storage. To be fair I think you need to compare it to the cost of a new NH bale wagon. NH has been making bale wagons for years so there are used ones available at reasonable prices. If the Bale Bandit concept takes off there will be used ones available in several years which will make them available for smaller farmers. If I could buy a Bale Bandit for the price of a used NH bale wagon I'd go with the Bale Bandit system over the NH in a heart beat.

A self propelled bale wagon will do the same job much more economically. You need the Bandit,a skid loader or tractor/loader with the bale grabber in the field to load, special size wagons, and something to pull them, another loader with another grabber to unload,2 or 3 people to do it,and you are handling the bales twice. You can do the same thing with a 1049 super or 1069,that can be bought for a fraction of the cost and handle the bales once and are maintaining one piece of equipment not 4-5.

I saw one in Louisville at the National Farm MAchinery Show, got their literature and really studied up on them. Seems like a GREAT sstem that in no stretch of the imagination could I ever make it pay. $50,000! for the system. My $5000 NH bale wagon never look so good after I picked my jaw up from the price.

Yikes , didn't realize that cost about the same as a large square baler.
