Troubleshooting diaphram pump

Got me one of those ATV 25 gallong boom sprayers and the rig is not working. Pump runs but no pressure. Check all the hoses not leaks that I can find. Installed new gasket at hose bib thinking maybe air leak. No go. Also replaced Y connector on top of unit.

Think pump is bad but not quite sure how to repair. It is a 12vdc diaphram pump on standard the FIMCO sprayer. Will be searching the net but also looking for your experience.

Prior to gettin my JD runnin, I was using one of those on a 3pt mount w/home made booms. 30 gal tank and a pump as you described. Two problems that I witnessed was -

1st, The pump wouldn't run. It has a built in pressure switch and it was stuck in the off postition. Took apart switch part on pump end and cleaned up rubber boot, worked the switch a bit. I did notice that, and this may lead to your problem, the seal for the switch doesn't seal real good. As in it always has had a leak there when running.

2nd, Didn't want to prime up. Weather it was realeted to the afore mention seal or not I do not know. It usally reared itself after sittin a long while (like a month). Just broke the inlet screen connection by the pump and "forced" water in with garden hose while runnin pump. Once it was pumping (had water in the pump) it would prime just fine. Sititn a week didn't seem to be a problem. But then again I was only using it every 45 days or so for the most part.

Can't say for sure but I think TSC may be able to get a kit. I know they sell the pumps (72$).
