The 327 will have a narrower pickup like the 336 (I believe) than the rest of the models. The 327 has the same capacity as the 337,328,338. The 346,347,348, will have a faster plunger speed giving it more capacity. My dad had a 328 and I have a 327, I really like them both. I gave $3000 for my 327 with a #30 thrower at a dealership last year. Hope this helps....

I've had a JD 338 picked out for a while. In doing product research the 338 has only minor cosmetic changes from its ancestor the 336. ASSUMPTION is that the 326-328 and 346-348 have only undergone similar cosmetic upgrades. I've never actually seen a 326-328; almost all the JD balers here in the newer style are the 336-338 (couple of guys have the 346-348 series). Cant say what used price is, dealer offered me $3800 trade in on a good 336 and offered me a 338 for cash outright for $12,550 to take delievery anytime w/i 24 mo of order and the $3800 off that.
