case drill

I own a case grain drill and do not have the owner manuel. The problem is the unit will not lift. I can manuelly move the drill and the disks down and engage the clutch. when I pull the handle for the clutch the unit does not lift nor does the main drive gear (which connects to the clutch) move either. Is there a shear pin in the gear on the main shaft. Any ideas would help at this time Thanks

If this is a ground driven power lift, it might be a good idea to dismantle it, clean out all the old caked-on grease, check for broken springs, etc. and reassemble it. They are over 40 years old and if they are never serviced, that might be all you need to fix it.
