I have a walking plow that no one seems sure what kind it is. It is a left hand plow and on just about every part it has the letters W J O 12 stamped on it. it also has a circle with the letter H inside the circle. On the point it has what looks like a DS and the point has one hole in it and the land slide has two round holes and one square hole. One fella told me it was an Oliver but nobody else has seen an Oliver with just those letters on it. Thanks for any help. Bill

DS stands for Deep Suck(suction action created by the point as it cuts the bottom of the furrow). The 12 probably refers to the width of the plow furrow. Not sure on the W J. Must be some info at Ag museums in your area. I have used curator's help on occasion to ID 19 th century artifacts. goodluck!

Kent: Thanks for the reply, I've tried everything I can think of, I'm still waiting on a reply from some of the plow and equipment shops I have posted messages to. It's really been a mystrey, the W J O seems to throw everyone off. Every morn is like Xmas to me, can't wait to see if there is a new idea as to what it is. I will check with the Ag museums and see what happens there. I'm sure your right about it being a 12in. plow , it is on almost every part along with the W J O. Hope I get more input, I really enjoy hearing from folks everywhere. Kent thanks again, till next time Bill
