I have a 519 new holland spreader that needs a new right angle drive for the apron. The dealer is quoting 2200 dollars. Any one know where I can get just the gears or a cheap used one. The gears have worn out but the case of the drive and shafts are fine.
Thanks

John, just replace the gears. You will get a few hundred dollars in them, but not $2200. The new big gear will now be a brass gear. More expensive, but will not wear out. Steve

Thanks for your responses, I have checked with New Holland and one store is willing to offer the gears without the box. The two gears cost $700 cdn. Oddly enough the other new holland dealer in our area only sells the complete gear box. John, thanks for your response. Do you have a gear box in reasonable shape and what do you want for it?
