my left marker raises itself, but will not lower.
I have switched the solenoid from right to left...
the right one works fine, the left one will not lower.
I have replaced the switch and still have the same results.
I have juice to the switch...
Any ideas?

By the term "switch" I presume that you mean the pressure switch on the solenoid valve body {or do you mean the toggle switch on the selector box?}

I have had similar trouble with the markers on my IH-800. I am trying to recall what I had to do to fix it {it has been a couple of years}. As I remember I had replaced the pressure switch on the solenoid valve body but it still did the same thing. I disconnected the pigtail to the pressure switch and grounded it...

Either marker will raise, regardless of whether or not that marker is selected. Therefore your electronic controls are stuck on selecting the right marker. The circuit is supposed to switch to the left marker when it senses a pressure spike, as the previously selected right marker fully raises against it's stop. But if the pressure switch stays polarized by a static charge.... it will not switch markers.

For some reason the pressure switch will hold a "static charge" {or something to that effect}, sort of like a capacitor does. Thus, even though the pressure from raising the right marker 'should' trip the switch to change the electonics circuit to the left marker, the static charge holds the right marker as the selected marker.

I sort of remember having to do this {grounding/discharging the switch} once or twice a day at the beginning of the season. Then it would work fine.

Good luck, hope this helps!
