I recently purchased a used Jacobsen B40 PTO Debris Blower. It has an unshielded PTO shaft and I want to change it to a new shielded shaft.

The problem is that I can't seem to figure out how to remove the old PTO Shaft. There seemed to be a center pin, but there was'nt and I can't seem to figure this out. I am a bit new to tractors and implements so any help you can provide would be appreciated. I included a picture of my dilema. Thanks!

once the driftpin is removed it should come off. Odds are that it is rusted on the shaft. you will need to split the ujoint and use a puller to remove the ujoint half on the shaft
Good luck
Ron
