Got a disk with my Ford 2N and don't know what the lever sticking out of the angle setter does. Looks like there should be a rope connected to it to pull from the tractor.

There is a bit of green paint under some of the rust so I suspect it is a JD.

Post this on the Case board. I'm pretty sure this is a Case disc. Look for an eagle on that clutch housing.

What does the lever do when you move it?

Hooked it up with a rope to the lever and figured it out. When the rope is pulled, the crank turns moving a control rod back and forth. (Added some red arrows to the picture to show that motion motion). Just let go of it when it gets to the place where you want it.
