I am looking for a copy of the owner's manual for my NH66. I have broken a chain on the ram and need info on timing. Any help will be appreciated

I broke the wadboard drive chain on my 66 recently, and ended up replacing the chain and the wadboard itself - when the chain broke the wadboard kept going out and ended up cracking, so it wouldn't move smoothly anymore.

To time it you turn the flywheel until the plunger is backed as far away from the bale chamber as it can be, them push the "ram" (not sure of the real name) on the end of the wadboard (the board that goes back and forth behind the pickup and auger) until it is 3 inches from the wall of the bale chamber. The idea is that when the plunger is farthest away from the bale chamber the wadboard "ram" is at maximum compression in the bale chamber and vice versa.

I hope this helps.

Ford New Holland still sells the Operators Manual P/N 42052010 for $7.00. They don't have a P/N for the Service Manual so I don't if it is still available. You might call your local Ford New Holland dealer. I'm trying to find one of these old balers myself with not much luck, anyway hope this helps.
