On page 30 or my NH 479 Operators Manual the tires are listed as "Flotation, 11L x 14"

thanks, frank
the copy i got only goes to page 27 and starts at pg 4.i thought it should have more info on the specs of the machine but my copy doesnt so i might have to find me another on.
i was talkn to a friend at work and i was lookn at the blades and i believe someone has put combine blades on it.they have like two blades per section instead of just one.would that work ?better or worse?

The answer to all these questions can be found in your operators manual. If you don't have one get one. You should not operate this equipment until you have reviewed the manual. Its full of wonderful information such as the type guards and sickle blades you need for specific crops or conditions. You haven't given any of that information so any of the answers you might get here may be worthless anyway,,,,, ,,

i do have a manual for it .they gave me a copy of the one they had they ran it off on the copier machine.but it doesnt give the proper tire sizes.maybe i dont have that page.and it does talk about the guards but my ?is there a reason to have standard guards on the end and stub guards in the middle?is there a reason for this or maybe just how they cobbled this machine together?i did get an original copy of the service manual but it just mainly shows how to repair the wobble box and remove the rolls.i havent got a chance to get over to the nh dealer to ask them just thought i might ask on here.

I think that you'll find out that the out board guards will be standard regardless of what you use elsewhere. That is due to the design of the machine and difficulty cutting at the the ends of the sickle. Stub guards will not work well aat these points..... ....

Sounds like a cob job to me. The guards are supposed to be one or the other. I don't see any particular reason why it won't work, but can't see any reason to install mixed either.
