Need parts for IH sickle mower 24

Hi,

I am looking for parts for a sickle mower it is an IH model 24. It is attached to an IH A tractor. I need a new pitman arm assembly, pitman stick, and various parts for the sickle.

I contacted the sales staff here and they had no clue. This isn't for a restoration, we are using it. We just have a very old ranch that has very old equipment.

I would also like to get a manual if anyone has one they would like to sell or copy for me. I would really appreciate it.

This computer sure beats hitting all the parts stores! Thank you for any help!

Hello Kathleen,
Have you checked for parts at your nearest Gebos or TSC store? They usually have a selection of replacement parts and bearings. Have not needed to get them in the past few years, but have got parts for the old IH (very old models) sickle mowers that my father has at the farm from there. Also some of the parts are interchangeable with other manufacture's. While working for New Holland in the early 80's I used to get some of the needed repair parts for the IH sickle mower off the shelf in the parts department.

I found the parts I needed at sickleservice.com, great place, really nice parts man. He even knew what I was talking about!

I still could use a parts manuel or a copy of one. Thanks!

Check with E-Bay for your manual,the one you need will eventually turn up on there.
