Help Backhoe operation

I am using my Backhoe Attachment on my Tractor, It runs slower than normal Backhoes due to running off the Tractors live hydraulics. I understand that operating a Backhoe is kind of Learn as you go, but I could use some help. I would appriciate any helpful hints or advice on using a 3 pt. Backhoe. Thanks

Do some of the work with a shovel. Then start using the backhoe. Now it seems really fast and very easy.

add a seperate pto pump and resivour. you will have faster response with less tractor engine rpm's. oil stays cleaner and cooler also
you will be happier with this

Lets see, if you are refering to the unit moving slow It could be the pump is pushing to small of the volume this is refered to as pump displacement . I would say you need a slow rpm higher volume pump. But remember it can't draw more than your volume of the hydraulic tank. I hope you can get it going there is nothing any niceer to use when everthing works right Good luck Dave

The operation part of the BushHog backhoe manual is word for word, same pictures as my Arps model 90 backhoe manual.

Does Amerequip make the Bushhog backhoe?

Thats sort of hard to explain. You put it out as far as you can with the bucket tipped out as far as it can, drop it hard roll the bucket till its flat or close and pull it back. Don't swing it side ways unless its close to the tractor till you learn how not to tip it over.
