Farmermatt; I have a very good unit wanting to sell. It is a JD 1460 disc/mow cond 91 year if remember right can double check that. It needs nothing. ONLY reason selling going to a larger unit. $5650.00 located in southeast Iowa. Have trucking available also if that would help. Rick

I have a Case IH model 3309 disc mower conditioner that I want to sell. It has a 9 foot cut and is in good condition. The dealer says this model was made between 1989 and 1992. It uses 3 hydraulic lines. One to raise/lower and two for swinging the machine out to cutting width. I changed my haygrazer land over to Tifton 85 and don't need the conditioner feature any longer. Asking $3,100, and I will throw in a new spare disc and other parts worth probably $150. Machine is located near Elgin, Texas which is about 30 miles east of Austin.

Hi, we're planting Tift 85 and have heard that we'll need to get a mower conditioner to hay our 20 acre field since it's so humid here (and to avoid the rain). Are you selling yours because you're going to graze the pasture and no longer cut it for hay, or have you found that you don't need one after all to hay the Tift 85?

This is in response to why I am selling the mower conditioner after planting Tifton 85. Here in central Texas, our annual rainfall is only around 32 or 33 inches. In the summer the humidity is often very low. Sometimes you can cut coastal hay one day and bale it the next and it is plenty dry.

Anyway, no one in the area to my knowledge uses a conditioner/crimper on their bermuda type hay. The regular disc mower does a good job. Besides they are faster on the cutting end, less expensive to purchase and keep in good operating order. If anyone is interested in the IH 3309, please reply to this message.
