I have an Uncle who has a steel wheeled pull behind John Deer hay loader and he wants to know how old it could be. How long did John Deere make these old hay loaders? Anyone know how old it could be? How many models did John Deere make of these? Anyone know?

Can't give you a direct answer, however I think the Deere Co. bought out the Dain line of equipment and so the hayloader evolved from the old wooden Dain. Loose haying died a pretty fast death after WWII here in NE Iowa, so my guess it wouldn't be newer than 1950.
